BlitzenX is looking for a strong, hands-on Guidewire Developer with 5+ years of real-world implementation experience across one or more Guidewire X-Centers—PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
This role is for engineers who write solid code, understand the Guidewire platform deeply, and deliver without hand-holding. You will work in high-velocity teams, contribute directly to production-grade implementations, and be expected to own your work end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and develop Guidewire solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
- Implement business logic using GOSU, Guidewire rules, PCF, and extension frameworks.
- Develop and support integrations with external systems using SOAP/REST web services.
- Work closely with senior developers and leads to implement architecture-aligned solutions.
- Debug, analyze, and resolve complex Guidewire issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and Agile delivery ceremonies.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and compliance with Guidewire and BlitzenX standards.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production stabilization activities as required.
Technical Acumen
- Strong understanding of the Guidewire data model and entity relationships.
- Hands-on expertise in PCF development, rules configuration, workflows, and batch processing.
- Proficient in GOSU, with practical experience extending Guidewire core functionality.
- Solid knowledge of Java, XML, and web service integrations (SOAP/REST).
- Experience with Guidewire integration patterns, including messaging and plugins.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment processes.
- Working knowledge of P&C insurance domain concepts and end-to-end system flows.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Guidewire development experience in real implementation or support projects.
- Experience across at least one Guidewire X-Center; multi-center experience is a strong advantage.
- Ability to independently own assigned modules and deliver within defined timelines.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail.
