Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire Data Developer with extensive experience in working with the Guidewire platform, particularly in data management and integration. This role is ideal for someone with 7+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire development, with a strong focus on data architecture, data migration, and data integration. The candidate must have experience in client-facing roles or working in accelerator environments, where they can drive solutions and ensure the success of data-driven projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize data structures and processes within the Guidewire platform to support data integration, data migration, and reporting.
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to gather and analyze data requirements, translating business needs into technical data solutions.
- Implement and maintain data interfaces between Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) and third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
- Configure and customize data-driven components within Guidewire, including reporting, data extraction, and transformation processes.
- Perform data migrations from legacy systems to Guidewire, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness throughout the process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Guidewire's data architecture aligns with organizational goals and integrates with enterprise-wide systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring data quality, performance, and scalability across systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices for data-related development.
- Engage with clients directly in a client-facing capacity, ensuring that data solutions align with business needs and expectations.
- Maintain and enhance data models, data flows, and reporting systems to meet evolving business requirements.
- Stay current with the latest trends in data management and Guidewire platform updates to ensure that solutions leverage the best practices and latest features.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Guidewire development, specifically in data-related roles (data architecture, integration, reporting, and migrations).
- Certification: Ace Certified Guidewire (or equivalent certification).
- Strong experience with Guidewire data tools and technologies such as Guidewire DataHub, InfoCenter, and reporting solutions.
- Expertise in data integration technologies, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), API-based integrations, and data mapping.
- Proficiency in GOSU programming language, Java, XML, and web services (SOAP/REST).
- Experience in data migrations, including transforming and loading large data sets into Guidewire systems from legacy systems.
- Knowledge of insurance industry data, including policy, claims, and billing data management.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and database management.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases.
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to engage with stakeholders, understand business needs, and present data-driven solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and manage multiple priorities across projects.
