4Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Guidewire Configuration Developer with robust techno-managerial capabilities to lead and contribute to the configuration and integration of Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) and ClaimCenter (CC). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Guidewire configuration, integration development, and team leadership, with a strong foundation in Apache Camel, Edge API, GOSU, and object-oriented programming. Key Responsibilities: Guidewire Configuration & Development: Lead the configuration and customization of PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter applications using GOSU, Guidewire Studio, and associated tools. Design and implement business rules, workflows, UI components, and data models to meet business requirements. Develop and maintain Edge API integrations, ensuring seamless communication between Guidewire applications and external systems. Integration Development: Architect and develop integrations using Apache Camel for routing, transformation, and mediation of messages. Implement and consume SOAP and RESTful web services, ensuring robust and scalable integration solutions. Utilize XML, JSON, and GXModel for data transformation and messaging. Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical solutions. Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and project goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring compliance with coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize impact on project timelines. Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of developed solutions. Project Management & Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management. Manage multiple priorities effectively, balancing development tasks with leadership responsibilities. Required Qualifications: Experience: 6–10+ years in software development, with at least 4+ years in Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter configuration. Proven experience in leading and managing development teams, with a track record of successful project delivery. Technical Skills: Proficiency in GOSU, Java, and Guidewire Studio. Strong experience with Apache Camel for integration solutions. Expertise in Edge API development and integration. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Experience in web service hosting and consumption, including SOAP and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with XML, JSON, GXModel, and Messaging frameworks. Knowledge of batch processes, work queues, and integration gateways. Tools & Technologies: Experience with ANT, MAVEN, and code repositories such as ClearCase, SVN, and TFS. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems. Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes and workflows. Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Guidewire Certification in PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter Configuration. Certification in Guidewire Cloud Platform is advantageous.
